Why this course exists

Most RAG tutorials stop at the demo. Real systems fail on split tables, old document versions, exact product codes and documents a user should never see. This course teaches each concept with the failure it prevents and a number that shows what a fix is worth.

Every lab and every measured number uses the same fictional corpus of 25 documents and 47 questions with known answers, so results are reproducible. The "My numbers" sections are measured on that corpus with the code in this repository; where a number is not measured yet, the section says so.
